Bomb Scare at Shopping Center Reported in Cedar Rapids
Cedar Rapids police received a call at 3 51 PM Friday warning of a bomb set to go off in 30 minutes at Town and Country shopping center. Darrell Peterson 24 of 510 First Street SW was arrested on a false bomb report charge. He posted 500 bond and was released. Peterson worked for American Finance Corp. at the center.

Linn district court jurors awarded Harmie Schmatt 10 884 67 for injuries from a September 27 1965 Cedar Rapids auto crash. She sought 37 672 25.
