Prairieburg Tornado Injures Woman and Damages Town
A tornado swept through Prairieburg on Wednesday evening injuring a woman with non life threatening injuries when a garage collapsed on her in a south side home. Several buildings were damaged and power lines were down leaving much of the town dark. Lt. Greg McGivern of the Linn County Sheriff's Office said Prairieburg suffered the most damage.

Retirement announced by National Czech & Slovak Museum leader
