Kingston Stadium renamed for broadcaster Bob Brooks urged
Linn County supervisors weigh renaming Cedar Rapids Kingston Stadium to Bob Brooks Stadium in honor of the late sportscaster who broadcast from the venue in 1952. The school district must approve any name change, with policy requiring board consent. Brooks died at 89, and a resolution would start the conversation about the renaming.
