Cedar Rapids sees a surge in senior housing with more than 47 million dollars in investments to add 330 skilled nursing memory care and assisted living units and over 170 jobs. The City Council backs three projects at different approval stages amid two more planned outside Linn County. The Gardens retirement community at 5710 Dean Rd SW is a 15 million project with 72 000 square feet offering 40 skilled nursing units 12 memory care units and 30 assisted living units.
