Hail Damages Linn County Crops In June Storms
Y Orlan Love reports hail on June 15 and the prior Monday night damaged or destroyed crops on over 5000 acres in Linn County. Farmer Stephen Martin and his son Albert say corn and soybeans were hit hard, with knee high stalks reduced to under a foot, setting back yields though replanting is not expected. The storms bring leaf shredding hail to Waubeek and Whittier areas.
