Yuengling to pay $10 million in pollution settlement
Yuengling will pay about $10 million to resolve Clean Water Act violations at two Pennsylvania breweries. The deal requires a $2.8 million civil penalty and about $7 million to upgrade plants in Pottsville, plus an environmental management system and outside audit. Violations from 2008 to 2015 included at least 141 pretreatment failures threatening the Schuylkill River.
