Cedar Rapids Council Rejects Dual-Sidewalk Plan
The Cedar Rapids City Council hears a compromise on a Cleveland School sidewalk project after 33 of 35 property owners object. The plan would place sidewalks on the south side from Cleveland Street to Edgewood Road and on the north side only from 29th Street to Edgewood Road, costing 28079 dollars with owners billed 21584 and the city 8457, plus potential city contribution of half the owner share. Broussard and PTSA members oppose the compromise.
