Money fund yields fall in latest week
The seven day average yield on money market mutual funds declined in the week ended Tuesday to 8% from 2.47% the prior week according to Money Fund Report. The seven day compounded yield dropped to 4.70% from 3.7% and the Bancs TW compounded yields slipped to 3.79% from 3.45%. The average portfolio maturity rose to 55 days from 3 days. Assets of retail funds edged down to 1.075 trillion, down 2.54 billion week over week.
