La Motte Prepares for Three Day Centennial Rail Nostalgia
La Motte Iowa marks 100 years with a three day celebration centered on the refurbished depot from the old narrow gauge line Bellevue to Cascade. Local residents recount 1936 line closure and offer tours of the depot and one room schoolhouse while events include soap making, butter making, livestock milking and antique cars.
