Trucker Dies From Hypothermia After Sleep Deprivation
Sac County investigators say David Schultz died in a field from hypothermia linked to acute methamphetamine intoxication and severe sleep deprivation. The Wall Lake trucker had parked his semi along a rural road and left for a farm field, with temperatures around 30 degrees the night of his disappearance. His truck, hauling hogs, was found abandoned the next day.
