Reverend Kimball to speak in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids

The Rev. Charles Kimball, one of Ramsey Clark's Iran delegation members, will host public forums in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids on Thursday. An ordained Southern Baptist minister, he joined a 54 nation conference on U.S. actions in Iran defying President Carter's travel ban. He previously participated in the Christmas clergy delegation visiting hostages and meeting Iran's leader Ayatollah Khomeini. The Iowa City forum runs 4:30 to 7 p.m. in Phillips Hall Room 100, University of Iowa, while Cedar Rapids hosts an 8 p.m. session in Cherry Auditorium at Coe College. The events are sponsored by the New Chautauqua Society of Stone City to promote dialogue on the Iran situation and America's role.
