Deaths of Emma Anderson and Joseph Janda prompt services

Emma Anderson 89 of Canoga Park California and formerly of Cedar Rapids died Friday after a long illness. Born December 10 1890 in Cedar Rapids she married Fred Anderson in 1910. Surviving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery with Gold Star Mothers involved. Donations to Leukemia Fund Children s Hospital Los Angeles. Also listed are Joseph F Janda 69 of Cedar Rapids died after a sudden illness. Born December 23 1910 he founded Janda Electric Motor Service in 1933. Surviving wife and three sons with extensive family. Services at Turner Chapel East and burial at Cedar Memorial Cemetery. Funeral plans note Masonic rites.

Two Des Moines youths die in collision with semi truck
