New Lung Chamber Aims TB Cure by Resting Breathing
Dr. Alvan Barach reports in the Annals of Internal Medicine that stopping voluntary breathing for 10 hours daily for four months in a specialized pressure chamber can heal some tuberculosis patients. Among 14 treated, seven recovered fully, two improved markedly, three modestly, and two showed no cavity reduction.
