Vinton Man Held For Drunk Driving After Forcing Gar In Ditch
Fritz Selken 40 of Vinton was jailed in Linn county after driving a car into Nile Livermore of Palo and forcing it into a ditch on Palo road west of Cedar Rapids around 10 p m Wednesday. Selken failed to post 1000 bond and was given until Monday to enter a plea. Livermore, with Max Livermore and Catherine Rouse in the car, escaped injury though the running board was torn. A second driver Jack O Brien reported narrowly missing the Vinton man as Selken’s car went west. Selken later remained in a ditch one mile farther west where witnesses found him with three other men in the vehicle. Kennedy of Vinton was fined for intoxication.
