Cedar Rapids to add $18 million power unit
Cedar Rapids based Iowa Electric Light and Power Co announces an $18,000,000 expansion adjoining Prairie Creek Power Station. The new unit will raise system capacity to about 614,285 kilowatts by 1967 with an 18,000 volt turbine and a 140,000 kilowatt output.
