Jacqueline Jirouch Elliott of Woodstock former Cedar Rapids resident died June 19 2008 at Centra Extended Care Hospice. She was born 1946 in Cedar Rapids earned ISU degrees and worked as a UNIX systems engineer for Kemper/Siemens. She is survived by Megan and Eric Elliott and two sisters. Visitation June 22 and funeral June 23 in Woodstock. Multiple other deaths noted include Beulah Potter M Jeannine Nielson Kevin Farley Darin Wurzer Ruth Rohr and Harold Heidemann with arrangements and services listed.

Semi crashes through barricade on I 80 killing driver south of Grinnell
A westbound semi entered the I 80 median at mile marker 183 south of Grinnell, punched a bridge barricade, and crashed into a hill, killing the driver whose name was not released. The crash was reported by the Iowa State Patrol.
