Tractor ride to farms organized by Iowa groups
A Minneapolis suburb family joined a weekend tractor ride in the Iowa City area under a program arranged by the Johnson County Cattlemen's Association and the Iowa City Chamber of Commerce. Robert Sentman of Oxford starts the tractor to give a ride to Gina and Robb Berthiaume, children of Mr and Mrs Wayne Berthiaume, Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.

Domer Captures Two Hawkeye Angus Grand Champions
Cathy Domer of Center Junction claimed two grand prizes at the Hawkeye Angus Association junior field day in Iowa City. Her steer weighed 1,005 pounds and her May heifer earned grand champion female honors. Reserve titles went to Terry Eichhorn and John Franklin. Bruce Pfier judged 14 steers and 46 heifers at the Johnson County Fairground. West Virginia’s statehood date is noted as 1863.
