Jersey cattle club adopts tested and superior sire ratings
At the American Jersey Cattle Club's 64th annual meeting a new rating system classifies bulls by production through their daughters. A bull earns Tested Sire status after ten tested daughters meet requirements while Sires gain higher recognition if they exceed 50 percent of reg daughters reaching four years and their tested daughters average 600 pounds butterfat. Rinda's Rosalre's Tessie earned the 1931 President's Trophy with 1,042.81 pounds butterfat and 15,592 pounds milk in a year-long test.
