No-Fault Insurance Shown Faster and Fairer in Study

Plane Crash Near Cedar Rapids Kills 2

A party for Derten Detert near his southeast Cedar Rapids home ended Saturday night when a small plane crashed into a horse corral at the William Elliott farm. The male and female Cedar Rapids residents aboard the Civil Air Patrol plane were killed. deputies reported the pilot may have been performing stunts. Investigators will probe the crash Sunday.

Minn. Judge Sets Objections Deadline on Exhumation Plan

Hennepin County Special Term Judge Dana Nicholson set next Wednesday as the deadline for objections to plans by Iowa attorneys to exhume the body of Albert Bowers, a former Des Moines YMCA janitor linked to the 1968 death of a 10 year old Iowa girl. Nicholson issued the court order.

Space Shuttle Enterprise Tests Successful Flight at Edwards AFB

The Enterprise conducted a 55 minute manned test flight on the back of a Boeing 747 at Edwards AFB California with astronauts Haise and Fullerton at the controls. Deke Slayton praised the mission as very successful and objectives met. NASA supervised the flight with chase planes and a television feed, following a 24 hour delay due to computer issues. Four manned captive tests remain before a late July or early August free flight.
