Second Hearing Of Sewer Bids To Be August 2
Cedar Rapids city council votes to open new sewer bid estimates on August 2 at 10 a.m. after a first call on April 19 yielded only one bid of 476000. The two-section interceptor project runs along the Cedar river west shoreline from Twentieth Avenue SW to Third Street Eighth Avenue and along the Crandie railroad right of way to Rockford Road near Fourteenth Avenue. Preliminary estimates place cost around 438000. borings may lower bids. Additional agenda items include curb and gutter petitions on Chandler Street SW, paying on Eighteenth Avenue SW, bids on a large sanitary sewer project across multiple streets, and several sewer and drainage work approvals.
