Plan to end long term Braille School program in Iowa
A draft proposal from a Braille School study committee would end the traditional long-term residential program at the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School in Vinton by fall 2012. The Vinton campus would remain as the statewide vision services headquarters and host short term and summer programs. The plan would alter services for 150 year old school students with a final vote set for July 1 and a Regents review on August 5.
