Vietnam veteran Ray Asmus of Clinton completed a five day 100 mile walk in Cedar Rapids raising about 2500 dollars for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City. He favored his left leg and cursed hills as he finished Friday morning with his wife at his side.

The 71 foot long, 195000 pound rocket rose at 9 10 p m CDT leaving an orange flame and gray smoke over the Pacific. It aimed to drop six dummy warheads near Kwajalein Atoll as part of a 20 flight test program planned for deployment in 1986.
