28 Playgrounds and 8 Tot Lots To Open This Summer
Summer program begins Monday with 28 playgrounds 18 tot lots and one late opening. 62 playground directors and 23 tot lot directors trained 44 hours including first aid by Linn county Red Cross. Circuses theme It's Circus Time features two circus wagons and weekly crafts games and tournaments supervised by Nat D. Hull and staff at locations citywide.

Registration opens this week for competitive and synchronized swim at four municipal pools. Eight weekly sessions begin June 26 for ages 8 and up with a two dollar per activity fee. A tardy tot fun lot for retarded children will be conducted at Riverside Recreation Center 1115 CST SW. Co sponsored with Linn County Association for Retarded Children. Two daily sessions at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Directors John Kubia and Barbara Thompson. A swimming session is held every Thursday at Jones Park pool.
