Stocks drop as the dollar strengthens after Russia signals the currency's lasting reserve role. The Dow falls 187.13 to 8,612.13, the S&P 500 down 22.49 to 923.72, and the Nasdaq declines 42.42 to 1,816.38.

The Treasury sold 30 billion in six month bills at a discount rate of 0.290 percent, down from 0.345 percent last week, the lowest since 2008. Three month bills traded at 0.160 percent with a price of 9 995.96 from 10 000. The 6 month bills priced at 9 985.34.
Rockwell Collins has installed the flight deck display crew alerting pilot controls and communications systems for Boeing's 787 Dreamliner. The company also integrated core network cabinet and data networks and served as systems integrator with on site Boeing involvement. Rockwell Collins participates on Boeing's 787 Partner Council and supports the program from Kent Service Center and facilities in Iowa Melbourne Florida and Irvine California. Boeing announced mid June the 787 advanced testing gauntlet with pilots simulating in flight scenarios and hoping for a first flight this quarter.
West Union hosts its fifth Field of Dreams dairy cow and genetics auction at the county fairgrounds drawing bidders from Texas Michigan Pennsylvania Ohio Mexico and Canada.
