Cedar Rapids passes Ordinance 025-24 on water system overhaul
City of Cedar Rapids approved final passage of Ordinance 025-24 to repeal Chapter 12 of the Municipal Code and replace it with a reorganized chapter updating standards, access to private facilities, higher connection fees, drought aligned water restrictions, and new sections on accessory dwelling units private hydrants and private wells. The measure includes detailed water service connections fees penalties lien provisions and cross connection controls as part of the updated code.
