Giant flying boat crashes boats in Havre harbor
The huge seaplane Lieutenant de Vaisseau of Paris with 25 aboard struck two motor boats in Havre harbor at 11 a.m. Both boats sank, two floats tore away, one wing damaged, but all aboard survived. Tug crews towed the aircraft to the quayside after its explosion aboard the plane. The vessel weighed 37 tons and cost about 1.32 million dollars.
