Motorcyclist arrested after early morning pursuit in Cedar Rapids
A 35-year-old Mount Vernon man riding a stolen 2021 Honda CBR250R was arrested after a police chase through northeast Cedar Rapids at 5 04 a m. John Randall Maher faces charges including driving while barred attempted elude possession of methamphetamine and theft. Police found a pipe meth and paraphernalia. Maher was deemed a barred driver and faces multiple traffic and drug counts.

Marion to add mini roundabout at 10th Street and 10th Central

Former Cedar Falls man jailed for threat to kill congressman
Kenneth Dean Brown 57 pleaded guilty to transmitting a threat in interstate commerce and was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for calling U S office of Representative Jerry Nadler in 2019 and saying Nadler would be assassinated.
