The 91 year old Younkers warehouse is demolished with explosives to clear space for a new parking garage in downtown Des Moines. Controlled Demolition Inc led the implosion directed from a corner toward the opposite side. It is the first downtown Des Moines implosion since 1981 following the Ginsburg Furniture building demolition.
