The semi annual home furnishings show runs through June 17 highlighting natural walnut and Desert Glow finishes. Neoteric styles, Regency influence, modern singles and two or three section casegoods appear in rooms with leather straps hardware and varied finishes.
Claude G. Krebs, long-time renter, buys the residence at 501 Thirty second street NE from Mrs. Dorothy Towner of Appleton Wisconsin. The transaction was handled by A. A. Doolittle and company.
E A Prochaska bus driver on the Marion line and wife have a four room white cottage at 1026 Twenty sixth Street SE. They plan two more rooms when funds allow and outline future changes including a dinette and built in sink. The kitchen features a cupboard unit and unenclosed sink while the living room shows ivory walls with rust and brown furnishings. The couple moved in March 15 and plan a third bedroom with a peach apricot bath, linen closet, and insulation. Marianne, their baby, plays on a front porch area enclosed for safety.
A screened porch is planned for the residence with a rear play yard. The lot extends 150 feet in depth, providing space for outdoor recreation and safety.
Harry Jones district supervisor for Texaco Oil buys the former Fisher home at 2397 Blake Boulevard SE. The residence was leased to Eugene Laurer, with the sale handled by George P. Witwer and Company.
William Jayne of 1432 Third Avenue SE bought a five room house under construction from Park Avenue Realty at 1935 Washington Avenue SE. Contractor Roy Niffenegger will complete the dwelling expected ready for occupancy by September.
Craemer s department store at 208 Second Avenue SE began anew air conditioning and remodeling of the older First Avenue unit last Wednesday. About $15 000 will be spent on cooling three floors and remaking the second floor to connect with the new unit across the block from First to Second Avenue East. New lighting will be installed and the entire floor carpeted. Morehead Frederikson company holds the contract for air conditioning and remodeling. Work should finish by July 1.
L R Arons district superintendent for Montgomery Ward moves from Green Bay to rent the Colonial home at 335 Forest Drive SE held in trust by Guarantee Bank and Trust. Hedges company arranged the summer rental for Mr and Mrs Hallman at 2445 Fifth Avenue SE to George Marshall from Klamath Falls. Fred E Collard and company rented 1006 Twenty Sixth Street SE to Carl Kimble, a Century Engineering employee moving from Des Moines.

John J. Wagner a local realtor and former regional vice president of the National Association of Real Estate Boards will be a guest at a luncheon for Crown Prince Olav of Norway in Duluth Minnesota next Friday. Wagner will address the brokers division on Friday about operating a general real estate office during the North Central region conference of the National Association of Real Estate Boards.
