Former KGAN anchor sues Meredith for age and gender bias

Karen Fuller, ex KCTV5 anchor, sues Meredith Corp in U S District Court Kansas City Kansas alleging age and gender discrimination after a 47 year old was replaced by a 32 year old. The suit says nonrenewal was the pretext and cites an audition of a young candidate. Fuller seeks back pay benefits and a jury trial.

Iowa high court rules Morales Diaz may withdraw guilty plea

The Iowa Supreme Court, in a 4-3 decision, held Morales Diaz should have been informed by counsel that his plea could lead to deportation and removal from his daughter. The ruling returns the case to district court for possible withdrawal of the plea and trial.
