Highway 100 Project Returns to Iowa DOT Plan
The $2.3 billion Highway 100 extension in Linn County, Cedar Rapids, is back in the Iowa Transportation Commission five year plan with $4.33 million allocated for 2012 and 2013. Most funds cover right of way from Covington to Edgewood roads, with $765,000 for 2012 wetlands work. Opponents cite habitat concerns while supporters say the bridge and traffic relief are needed.
