All-Iowa Fair to release accurate attendance figures
All-Iowa Fair Manager John Emmons will release daily attendance numbers during this year’s fair after a 16-2 board vote reversing last year’s no-figure policy. The change follows concerns over inflated counts and aims to improve relations with press and public.

Health classes set at Kirkwood
Beginning next week Kirkwood Community College will offer a range of health occupations classes in cooperation with the Cedar Rapids district. One day sessions at Iowa Hall cover blood coagulation Coombs testing lab kits microbiology staphylococci and CDC bacteria and State Hygienic Lab services with CPR June 13 15 and a July 21 precision attachments workshop. Other offerings include a 10 week nursing refresher at Linn Hall a five day precision attachments workshop in July aides for nursing homes and hospitals a three week CPR course and a four week EMT recertification class plus an 111 week physicians' assessment for occupational health nurses starting July 27 Registration by phone 398-5412. Seniors should tell the clerk when registering.

Kirkwood Community College Announces Summer Registration Dates
Late registration continues for summer classes at Kirkwood Community College with openings in vocational programs. First five week term classes began June 6 and accept registrations Monday to Wednesday, while the second five week term and full 10 week term accept registrations June 12 to 16. All activity is in the registrar's office, Linn Hall.
