Judge orders actress Ryder to stand trial
Beverly Hills California AP Winona Ryder was ordered to stand trial on charges she shoplifted about 6000 in merchandise from Saks Fifth Avenue and possessed a prescription drug. A Saks security official testified seeing her remove security tags and arrange items. A criminalist said the two pills found were a generic form of Percocet. The judge found sufficient cause for charges including second degree burglary grand theft vandalism and possession of a controlled substance.
