Linn County eyes Texas prototype for 180000 sq ft waste plant
An 11 member Linn County delegation visited East Texas for Evergreen Global's prototype plant promising to reuse 91 to 97 percent of residential trash. The plant would process 100000 tons yearly, cost the company 47 million for phase one, and create about 35 local jobs with wages around mid twenty thousands. Talks continue as county officials weigh landfill life extension against a potential new facility.
