Parents sue sex offender and Life Investors in Iowa case
The parents of a 14 year old sue Gary Heck and Life Investors Company of America over emails and telephone calls that connected Heck to the girl. Heck, 34, of Marion, was convicted of third degree sexual abuse and is in custody at Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility. The suit seeks punitive and compensatory damages for mental and emotional harm.

Iowa dental student charged with marijuana possession added to threats case
Tarsha Claiborne 23, a University of Iowa dental student, was charged with possession of marijuana after investigators found about a gram in her apartment during a search related to an email threat case. Arraignment set for June 19. earlier charges include threatening to blow up the US dentistry building and targeting minority students.
