Cedar Rapids library tax levy to appear on November ballot

The Cedar Rapids library board votes unanimously to seek a 27 cent per thousand levy, raising about 1.6 million annually for the two libraries. The measure would appear on the Nov 3 ballot alongside four City Council seats. A promotional drive seeks 2,100 signatures to place the levy on the ballot.
