Rail study pegs North Liberty Iowan City rail at 40 million
A 2016 CRANDIC feasibility study shows a North Liberty to Iowa City commuter rail could cost about 40 million to build and about 1.4 million annually to operate. The plan envisions diesel coach railcars on 7.1 miles with eight daily trips and stops near Oakdale, Coralville and the VA hospital.
