Cedar Rapids Brucemore pool painter to retire after 30 years
Roger Johnson, Brucemore's buildings and grounds superintendent, has painted the pool for 30 springs in a row. At 65, he finishes the last coat in late May after 14 to 16 hours of work and plans to retire in June. He began part time work in 1987 and values the variety of tasks around the 26 acre estate.
