Marengo Restores Historic Fountain In City Park
In Marengo Iowa the town square fountain has evolved through multiple restorations begun by the Optimist Club in 1979 and revived over the years. Donors from local families and Odd Fellows funded the original artesian fountain while later renovations changed basins, removed fencing, and rebuilt into a new three tiered fountain in 2020 amid renewed resident support.
