Former Linn-Mar nurse pleads not guilty in student sex case
Angela Beik, 46, a former Linn-Mar High School nurse, pleaded not guilty to one count of sexual exploitation by a school employee. Her trial is set for Sept. 24 in Linn County District Court after she was fired in April.

In Memoriam Nile Kinnick Legacy Lives On at Iowa
The University of Iowa honors Nile Kinnick on the 75th anniversary of his WWII death. Chuck Long, Hawkeyes quarterback and Heisman finalist, notes Kinnick Stadium's unique honor and Kinnick's influence on Hayden Fry and Kirk Ferentz. Kinnick was a 1939 Hawkeye star who died in 1943 during a Navy flight training crash off Venezuela. The community plans a 100th birthday celebration at FRYfest in Coralville.
