New town Edleon eyed for Johnson County IOWA

Johnson County residents near Swisher could vote later this year on incorporating a new town named Edleon on 126 acres. The proposal awaits a July 13 hearing before the five member City Development Board. Local officials say the move may bypass the county land use plan and is opposed by the county supervisors.
