State Liable for City Highway Bills
The state highway commission may fund city street paving as state highways run through towns. Administrative engineer C Coykendall said funds limit cooperation, with $15.5 million annual revenue and major bond and maintenance costs. Last year the commission spent $342,756 in cities and towns plus $342,756 on city streets tied to state routes. A Bloomfield delegation urged new paving on thirteen blocks, seen as just.
