A rural Atkins man, Darwin Schminke, 20, was injured Monday at 8:40 a.m. at Cardinal Craft, Inc. when a circular saw cut his arm. He was hospitalized at St. Luke's with a severe laceration. Schminke works for Linman Construction Co. of Cedar Rapids, contractor for an office building addition to Cardinal Craft. No condition report was available.
