One man in serious condition and four others hospitalized after a late Thursday crash on a county road near Dyersville. Auto Strikes Ambulance on Way to Coralville Accident
A Coralville ambulance responding to a crash was struck by a gravel truck at Burlington Street and Riverside Drive Friday. The driver, John Vernon Ware of Iowa City, and two others were injured. the ambulance continued to the scene where two more people were hurt. The gravel truck, driven by Johnni F. Wood, collided with a car driven by Susan L. McConnell of North Liberty. McConnell was treated after being taken to Mercy Kaspi by ambulance. Wood was not hospitalized. Authorities estimate damage at 15 000 to 20 000 dollars, injuring the creamery building and equipment in Epworth aftermath.
