Army plant cleanup shifted to St Louis office
After ten years of cleanup at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant the Omaha corps office is removed from the project transferring responsibility to the St Louis district. EPA officials say the change was made without consulting them and worry about continuity while officials expect the program to continue through 2014 with costs over 100 million dollars. Col. Bruce Elliott was reassigned to the Pentagon and Lt. Col. Yolanda Dennis-Lowman has taken over.
