Farm bill debate grows over $55,000 payment ceiling

Congress faces a clash on farm bill limits as supporters push for a $55,000 cap per crop with nationwide payments to farmers. Senator Conte and Rep Findley back the level despite GOP opposition. Hardin, Poage, and Belcher back the measure as a bipartisan step to aid dairy and grain producers, with anti evasion rules to close loopholes.
