Ely garage fire injures Linn County man in collision with car
Benjamin W. Cooper 21 suffered non life threatening burns when gasoline ignited in a Ely garage at 1660 Walker St. The homeowner Carl L. Svec 21 declined medical help. Fire reported just before 8 30 p m with investigation ongoing. In Cedar Rapids Cedric Everson 21 sees trial reset for Jan 10 2011 for second degree sexual assault. Abe Satterfield 21 pleads guilty to assault with intent to injure and will be sentenced after Everson. Cedar Rapids adds a new red light camera on Center Point Road NE near Collins Road NE.
