Burns Suffered in C R Crash Fatal To Sioux City Man
A Sioux City man George Baker twenty five died after a Cedar Rapids motorcycle crash June 30. He suffered second and third degree burns over about seventy percent of his body when his bike hit two parked cars and burst into flames in the 1400 block of Fourth avenue SE. Police say he lost control at a dip and struck the cars before escaping the burning bike and collapsing. Residents used blankets to smother the flames.
