Four Arrested In Wyoming for C R Authorities

A Cedar Rapids man and three others were taken into custody in Laramie Wyoming after a highway patrol stop led to the arrest of Ralph Parrott 22 and James Dillon 20 and two Cedar Rapids girls both 13 and 16 who had run from Heartwood Children’s Home. Police say Dillon is a deserter from the Marine Corps and the girls were being transported back to Iowa.

Two Arrested On Charges Of Kidnapping In Linn County

Charles David Kramer and Robert Owen Young surrendered at Linn County jail on $11,250 and $40,000 bonds respectively. They allegedly kidnapped Ronnie Simmons and a 17 year old girl near Ellis Park on July 13, posing as police officers and driving them to a location north of Palo where the girl was forced to disrobe. Young faced an additional assault with intent to commit rape charge.

Man Charged with Firing Shotgun in Residence

Lloyd Shreeves, 53, of 503 0 avenue NW, was arrested on a terrorizing charge after allegedly firing a shotgun through his ceiling. A 410 gauge shotgun was recovered, and Karen Kenny reported the incident from an upstairs apartment. A ceiling hole was found. he is held in the county jail in lieu of a $3,000 bond.
