Yancey Wins Dramatic Playoff at Firestone Classic

Bert Yancey, after a late surge and a grueling final round, edged Tom Alozas in a playoff at Firestone Country Club to claim the American Golf Classic title. Alozas faltered on the 72nd hole and choked in the playoff, while Yancey steadied with a clutch two-foot par save. The victory ends a slump for the veteran and doubles his earnings from the event.
